      1. I don’t know like how technique can effect voice tone I have no idea because I hear people a lot critizing twice jihyo and lunar for having bad voice while praising rose for her amazing voice tone I don’t know how to explain it

  2. I just want to say , i know Vocal Tone is subjective Matter , But There is bunch of singer that their tone seems to be liked by majority , public friendly tone and there is otherwise. Take a look at hyoyeon ( cause she just released a song ) it seems there is more people who dislike her tone ( me included ) . There is singer with good technique but majority think they are bland.
So it’s like voting where majority opinion is what matters here , if 8 out of 10 People find your voice pleasant to hear , then it means you have nice tone/timbre.
And this factor determine how successful a singer is more than their technique

    1. You mentioned Hyoyeon, a vocalist who has no sense of breath support. If you dislike her tone a lot of it can be attributed to her lack of technique as well. Actually most of the time, the only reason I hear people call someone’s voice “bland” is when they want to say their “fave” is better. So who is a vocalist who has very good technique but a majority of people still think their voices are “bland?” Because I don’t know any, as far as I know most vocalists have very strong fanbases with millions of fans who think their tone is beautiful. The only times people’s voices aren’t well liked is when people are in the middle of fanwars arguing about who’s better.

      1. Luna fx seems to be less popular than she deserve. People only use her technique level to attack other faves but they don’t really bother stanning her.
        My point is
        Tone > technique
        People said
        “I like/dislike his/her voice”
        Not i like/dislike his/her technique
You should made a video about this tech vs timbre stuff later.

Talking about hyoyeon. Is she really not improving at all ? It’s been 10 years in sm. She could learn things or two from her member or sm vocal trainer to fix her issue & increase her technique. Or this is because she isn’t talented in singing ? , so it’s difficult for her to learn fast & grasp the point of singing technique.

      2. There are plenty of Luna fans who love her voice. The only time people say they dislike her voice is when they’re fighting with someone to say that X vocalist has a more attractive tone than her.
I will make a video but my opinion is a little different. Cause tone won’t last forever if your technique isn’t healthy enough.

Hyoyeon not improving has nothing to do with talent. You don’t know her personal life for the past 10 years. Most idols get too busy, they don’t get vocal training after debut. I doubt she’s received much vocal training even as a trainee when they made her a main dancer. 10 years of singing the same way won’t change anything. (Another topic I wanna address.)

  3. When I was taking singing lessons, I used to strain my voice. My way to get out of it was to get the muscle support from my body. I tried to support my singing by straining, but after finding out of how to support my singing with my muscles, it helped me to get out of the habit. I kneeled, used elastic band and did push ups against the wall whenever there was a high note I wanted to strain.
I think many of the reasons actually go under the lack of muscle-support like fatigue and nervousness (and I also just found these videos, I don’t know do you talk about it on other videos) but that was the game changer for me! If you still make any videos, you should definitely bring up this topic.
